And no, Ray Schalk did not catch 4 regulation no hitters. The definition of a no hitter is a game that goes 9 or more innings that ends with no hits. One of the no hitters often attributed to Schalk was a no hitter through 9 innings, but the pitcher, Jim Scott of the White Sox, gave up 2 hits in the 10th.
