Who was the first linebacker to be selected as the Super Bowl most valuable player (MVP)?
Trivia Question Answer
Linebacker Chuck Howley of the Dallas Cowboys turned in a two interception and fumble recovery performance to be selected as the MVP for Super Bowl V in 1971. Interestingly Dallas lost that Super Bowl to Baltimore 16 to 13. It is to date the only Super Bowl in which the MVP was awarded to a member of the losing team.
